Our Goal
At Cortland Karate Center, we teach and practice authentic traditional karate based on the styles that originated in Okinawa, Japan. We follow the precepts developed by Master Gichin Funakoshi, the father of modern karate, who developed the Shotokan style that we teach. Our goal is to teach mind, body, spirit and the perfection of character. We do this to enable each student to fulfill their individual potential and assist them in achieving their goals in life.
